There's a little eBay auction going on that's been brought to my attention and I was wondering if any kind readers could spare some pocket change so I could place a bid. The book? Well, by the picture, I'm sure you've guessed already, but for the slow people in the audience, it's Action Comics #1, otherwise known as the first appearance of some no name hero - Superman. The current bid, as of this posting? $93,000 US. Wikipedia and a few other sources from Google have Action Comics #1 worth between $125,000 and $150,000. Reserve isn't met on the auction at the current price, but I expect he's looking for over $100,000, at the very least. With some 80 odd bids, it looks like people are more than interested.
