it would be pretty funny if Deadpool kills him. He is trying to be a hero, what better way than to kill Osborne? Plus if it wasn't for Deadpool Osborne wouldn't even of come into power. Would bring things full circle.

But Spidey or Tony do deserve to get their own back on Normie too.

@DaryllB: Bendis did a follow up to HOUSE OF M, around NEW AVENGERS 16-20, that introduced the Collective (a sentient energy made up of all lost mutant powers) and Michael Pointer (of Omega Flight/Dark X-Men fame).

During that arc, it turns out, that all of the mutant energy lost during M-Day went to one source which was controlled by, none other than, XORN.

It was a strong story, which saw the New Avengers get their asses handed to them. It concluded on Genosha, as the Collective homed in on Magneto.

The mystery of the Collective ended with a full-on splash page featuring a re-powered Magneto who, upon discovering who was behind the Collective intelligence, shouted...

"XORN!"

It was a little anticlimactic...not to mention, out of left field.

....and that is where "Pulling a Xorn" comes from.

the only thing which could possibly end his reign is himself...believe me!! nobody can kill osborn.. even doctor doom and loki together cannot kill him..not that they don't have the firepower but bendis won't let that happen...like secret invasion all contributing factor will somehow affect his downfall....but i just cant see how "dark avengers" will be able to survive his downfall....

Firstly, to Sm and others who bring up Xorn, remember that wasn't Bendis who did that piece of drek. That was all on the Sainted Grant Morrison. Now if you said 'Sally Floyd' or 'Yelena Bulova' then yeah that's on Bendis. LOL

Now great answers to this topic but I got 2 more possiblities to throw into the mix that everyone overlooks:

Wait, Wait; i just figured out. Being that the upcoming age is "The Heroic Age". It must mean one thing. A superhero like no other. A Hero that symbolizes that hopes and dreams of humanity.

It can be no other than: SUPERMAN And his RETCON PUNCH.

Kidding aside; I know that if i were the editorial department and it was 2012 (err whenever the family that own superman gets copyrights back); i would stage a comic book coup by paying the family to license superman to the marvel universe.

Then i would debut him at the end of SEIGE as the one Stopping Norman Osborn. It would be a COUP on Marvel part to do that against DC. Well, thats what i would do; continuity be damned.

I think self-destruction is going to contribute quite a bit, but Spider-Man had better freaking be a big part of taking Norman down. I've enjoyed Dark Reign quite a bit, but if Spidey isn't there doing a lot of it then the whole thing will largely be a waste as far as I'm concerned.

Something that occurred to me is that Clint Barton is going to be the one to do it, wasn't he captured some time ago in one of The List one shots? No one seems to have done anything about that yet.

I think it will probably go a long way to try to redeem Clint after the hell Bendis has put him through, and it might appease some of the older Avengers fans that Bendis has managed to completely piss off in the last 5 or so years.

This is a great post, just the sort of thing that brings me to this site, thanks Matt. Now, ass-kissing aside.

I think Normal will implode on himself, the media will be there for it, as it's been for so much of his work, and it will set up a new status quo, one where the SRA is pertinent again and whoever is in charge will have a lot to do, probably not one person, it'll be a brain trust of Fury, Stark, etc almost Illuminati style, then they can wink and know the world is safe again, then all laugh at Lockjaw as he farts, a real Full House moment.

As for the actual final blow, I'd like to see Spider-Woman get it, that would be sweet justice, or Christmas, whatever.

PS I also just want to start telling people they "pulled a Xorn"...wonder if the kids in class today will get that?

My guess is that Steve Rogers comes back and retakes the mantle of Captain America. He unites Thor, Iron Man, and the New Avengers (namely Spider-Man and Wolverine), and they lead the "siege" on Osborn's super-teams. Meanwhile Bucky-Cap, Black Widow, and Nick Fury are infiltrating and generally screwing over Hammer.

With his forces checked, Norman's sanity begins to crack. Sensing weakness, his allies pounce on him and he flips out, killing a lot of people and ultimately losing his credibility if not proving to be an outright criminal.

And the person to get the final blow that takes down Norman Osborn is none other than Aunt May.

My heart is set on Spidey, but my head says good 'ol Cap will be the one to do it. But ya know, it was said that Spidey wouldn't kill Norman, but he DID make a deal with Mephisto. If we find out that Norman's rise to power was indeed a result of this deal, it could be that Spidey has to kill him, and that would be just one more consequence in dealing with Mephisto.
