Boy, there's a lot of stuff wrong with this scene.
It starts with the tin-ear comment by the boy, who's either dumb as bricks or a real smartass to his mom — he clearly knows it's a man, so why's he asking if it's a fish? The mother's boilerplate distracted comment is also lousy; there are people in big aquarium tanks all the time: cleaning, training, doing performances. It's no big deal, so why should she be disbelieving?
Finally, the SWAT-team response from the guards: Theme park security types often don't carry guns to begin with, and the notion that they're threatening deadly force to deal with some hippie swimming with the dolphins is just stupid.
Not sure why this one upset me more than the many, many other stupid Aquaman scenes I've read, but it did.
... You're going to shoot him for swimming with the fish? Who hired this idiot?
