I Am An Avenger, Too! - Reader Version

I posted some mock-ups of fake I Am An Avenger, Too! ads last week along with a template so our readers could get in on the fun. The response was overwhelming and I had to share them with everyone who may have missed them in the comments. I've included as many as I could, but there's still a non-trivial number left in the comments of that first post you should check out if you are interested in seeing more.  Hit the jump for more I Am An Avenger, Too! mock-ups.

But first, here's a few of mine that didn't make it into the first post.  I couldn't decide on what Iron Fist quote to use, so there's three included.

Silver Surfer

Black Bolt

Spider-Man

Iron Fist
Iron Fist
Iron Fist

Kratos (God of War)

Terra

Reader Submissions

I posted a template for everyone to make up their own I Am An Avenger pieces last time and was surprised at how many responses we received.  They were all so good, I decided to post some for everyone to see (hit up the comments of the previous post to see them all as there were far too many for one post).

Spider Jerusalem (Transmetropolitan)

The Monarch (Venture Bros)

Rick Grimes (The Walking Dead)

Robo (Atomic Robo)

MODOA - Mobile Organism Designed Only for Avenging! (aka MODOK)

Volstagg

Songbird

Conclusion

Now that we've sufficiently beaten this dead horse, it's time to move on to the I Am A Secret Avenger one!   In all seriousness, I had some fun with this one, but I think it's time to put these little meme out to pasture.  I welcome everyone to post more of their own creations though and hope you enjoyed the fun we had with this.

@Hoylus - I actually was going to post your Beast and Spider-Man ones, but they were in .png format and couldnt reformat them to.jpg at work. PNG is like 3 or 4 times as large in file size as jpgs and your images would have been larger in size than the entire post's worth. I tried my best to post as many as I could, but some are size related like yours, some are swearing related (I dont mind them, but didnt want f-bombs dropped uncensored in featured images and what have you). I link to the comments and make note several times that there are more there. It was nothing personal, mostly just logistics.

Hello.

So sorry - I was joking. Sarcasm is difficult in type.

What can I say? I'm British.

Thanks for the explanations though...!

Meant to post this here but it went into the black/white magazine post instead:

Assume by now everyone caught this but if not, Geoff Johns tweeted the Lafreeze version you created for "I Am An Avenger"

Holy crap, I drew that Silver Surfer picture there in the first entry http://brigante133.blogspot.com/2009/11/defenders.html. That was kind of surreal to see it there. Thanks for that.

@Ramon - Wow, nice. I didnt even realize. I just searched for some Silver Surfer images and saw the more classic Kirby/Romita style that I loved in that image. It was large, easy to add to the mock-up (no photoshop expert, so the Nextwave and other earlier images took a bit of time for me to cut out the backgrounds so they fit the all white teaser image format) and just love that style for the Surfer (screw that shiny modern one!).

Hey, Nicely done, I had a blast.

Did you know that this post is now theme of conversation in the intrawebz?? How did this get into Geoff Johns' twitter account?
