Cover of the Week - War Machine & X-Men Legacy

Welcome to another edition of Cover of the Week! This is Matt Ampersand, filling in for Kirk who as you all know was rather busy this weekend.

Ryan and me chose our covers of the week, and there's a couple of odd things: first of all, it's all Marvel covers. Secondly, I went for dark moody covers while Ryan went for some rather colorful ones. And finally, both of the top covers are "1990's Variant Editions", I went with the War Machine cover while Ryan went with the X-Men Legacy one. So grab your flannel shirt and your extra large shoulder-pads and hit the jump for more!

Matt's Cover of the Week - War Machine #07 (1990's Variant)

Matt: There were plenty of good covers this week, but this image gains the honor this week just because of the sheer ridiculousness of it. War Machine, one of the poster child of 90's EXTREME makeover, as Kurt Cobain, poster child of the 90's grunge movement, is just awesomely fitting.

Ryan's Cover of the Week - X-Men Legacy #225 (1990's Variant)

Ryan: Adriana Melo's "Vogue Rogue" cover simply pops with its clean lines, strong anatomy, and loads of personality. I haven't read this book in months and yet I still track it down for this cover.

Runner-ups: Captain Britain and MI13 #14, X-Men: Origins - Gambit

Vogue Rogue??? That's something I never thought I'd ever see.

Someone must be rolling in her grave.

Wait.

Madonna is still alive, right?

War Machine's cover is pretty cool, but I'm surprised that Savage She-Hulk's 90s variant didn't warrant a mention, as I see it as everything awesome that comic covers AREN'T doing
